Welcome to our online home of Troop 44.  This site is for you and it will only be improved and useful with your help.  If you'd like to see anything added to this site, contact a committee member or the webmaster.  Remember, we make Scouting better and this site is just one of our tools.  This site is updated weekly or immediately for critical information. 

Troop 44 is chartered through the Bushkill Township Volunteer Fire Department in Bushkill Township Pennsylvania and is part of the Forks of the Delaware District and the MinsiTrails Council.  We meet in the Bushkill Township Fire Department Social Hall on every Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm (UNLESS NOTED OTHERWISE IN THE TROOP CALENDAR).  The Troop meetings start promptly at 7:00 pm so plan to arrive by 6:50 pm.  Meetings last approximately 90 minutes. The fire department is located at 155 Firehouse Lane, Nazareth, PA 18064 off of Bushkill Center Road.

Jun 30th -- Devil's Potatoe Patch  Meet at the firehouse at 6:30 pm sharp. 
LAST TROOP MEETING UNTIL THE FALL
Jul 16th -- Summer Camp Meeting for all Scouts attending Summer Camp, MUST be attended by scout and scout's parent. 7:30pm at the firehouse.
Jul 18th -- Trash for Cash at Iron Pigs Game
Jul 31st -- Iron Pigs Scout Night - see flyer (.pdf) for more details
Jul 27th - Jul 31st -- Bushkill Township Fireman's Carnival
Jul 26th - Aug 1st -- Scout Summer Camp at Bayport Scout Camp in Virginia. 
For details on the Camp as to what is offered and the current year merit badge offerings, refer to the
Leader Guide (.pdf) from Bayport Scout Reservation.  Note that an updated merit badge schedule has been added to the Leader's Guide section at Bayport, it replaces the one inside the Leader's Guide pdf.

If you are a member of another local Troop and you would like to consider joining Troop 44, you are welcome to attend summer camp with Troop 44.
Aug 22nd - 23rd -- Re-Schedule of the Colton State Park Bicycle Hike and Camping Trip - details to follow
Sept 7th -- Trash for Cash at Iron Pigs Game 1:35pm (Labor Day)
Sept 18th - 20th -- Annual Delaware River Canoe Trip - additional details to follow - activities for Scouts not participating in the canoe trip on the river.
Sept 26th -- Bushkill Township Volunteer Fire Department 50th Anniversary Parade.  Starts at 1:00pm in the Nazareth.  The Troop will participate in parade and other anniversary activities.
Oct 17th -- Spaghetti Dinner Troop Fundraiser at the firehouse - details to follow
Oct 9th - 11th -- Camping and Hiking Trip to Niagra Falls NY  Will depart firehouse Friday and return Sunday evening.  Additional details to follow.
Nov -- Fire Safety Merit Badge
May 14th - 16th 2010 -- Jambo 100 at Kutztown University See flyer (.pdf) for more details.

Jamboree 2010 is returning to Fort A.P. Hill outside Fredericksburg VA.
