Troop History
In the first year of Scouting or shortly thereafter each boy should have reached the rank of First Class.  Starting in the Troop at the rank of Scout, he will progress to Tenderfoot, 2nd Class and then finally First Class.  The instructional videos below are from the National BSA website and show the boys what each requirement demands.  The videos are a great way to review requirements before the Scout has his Scoutmaster Conference and Board of Review from the older Scouts.

Some of the videos are large and may take a moment to load depending on your Internet connection.  The videos are posted on YouTube and will require ActiveX to be enabled for you to view them.  They are all virus free.  Several Troops have added video Troop requirements, but the original credit should go to Troop 215 in South Carolina.  They were the innovators that started the trend!

NOTE: The requirements for Tenderfoot thru 1st Class may be worked on simultaneously; however these ranks must be earned in sequence.  The requirements other than Scoutmaster Conference and Board of Review do not have to be complete in order.
