Troop 44 ventures to
Battleship Cove in Fall River MA. The boys participated in the
Battleship Cove Boy Scout Camp Over and spent the night sleeping on
the spacious bunks of the USS Massachusetts. The boys spend
the day exploring a submarine, the USS Flying Fish, and a destroyer,
the USS Joseph P Kennedy. A fourth ship was added over the
years also, a Russian built German missile corvette Hiddensee.
After the ship is closed to the public, the boys were able to
continue the exploration of the USS Massachusetts or Big Mamie as
the sailors called her.
